Upcoming radio broadcasts with interviews with Suzanne Stephens and Kathinka Pasveer reply

Sorry for the shameless self-promotion here, but I will be celebrating Stockhausen's upcoming birthday on the radio show I present here in Australia with two episodes devoted solely to his music and to interviews with Suzanne Stephens and Kathinka Pasveer which I recorded during my time in Kürten last month. Suzanne's interview will be this week, and Kathinka's the following week.

The show is broadcast live in Australia at midnight Wednesday nights (Thursday mornings, technically) Australian Eastern Standard Time, but you can listen live anywhere online or via the PBS Radio smartphone app. An audio archive of the show is also uploaded to website shortly after it has gone to air.

So, just by way of reference, it can be heard live on Wednesday at 16:00 in Europe (Germany, etc), 15:00 in UK; 10:00 in New York; and 7:00 in Los Angeles - all of which are much more civilised times than the midnight at which I'll be doing it here in Australia!

Here's a link to the promo for the show, where there you can also see the station's 'listen live' button:

I feel that it could be useful to have a discussion-forum on the music of Stockhausen. There are so many people from all over the world, young and old, learned and eager to get into contact with this musical world: musicologists, composers, musicians, music lovers; people who plan concerts - who write books or have to give lectures and so on. So there should be much stuff, many ideas that we can share. And when we have open questions, there may be people who studied just that and could give a hint or a stimulus. A problem might be the English language, but i feel that is the only possibility that many people who are interested can participate. And we can exercise tolerance to mistakes! Thomas Ulrich
